One day each year is designated for incoming freshmen to enroll for classes at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Freshman Connection allows these students the chance to have first dibs at fall classes and will be held at the Alva campus on Wednesday, April 15, with a morning and afternoon session to accommodate student schedules.

Students must first meet admission and curriculum requirements to enroll at Freshman Connection. Requirements are an ACT score of 17 or above or an ACT score of 16 and a seven-semester grade point average of 3.0.

Morning registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Center with a welcome, placement tests and enrollment following. The morning session also includes an optional parent panel and campus tour.  The afternoon session starts at 1:30 p.m. with the same schedule as the morning minus the parent panel and campus tour.

“Freshman Connection is a tremendous opportunity for anyone who is interested in attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University,” Paige Fischer, director of recruitment, said. “The event allows students to meet with advisers, get questions answered and enroll in college courses all before the summer.”

To attend Freshman Connection, visit www.nwosu.edu/freshman-connection to complete the registration form.

For questions about this event, contact the Office of Recruitment at (580) 327-8546 or recruit@nwosu.edu.
