From Nashville, Tenn., BREATH OF SOUL is taking contemporary a cappella to new levels with their powerhouse performance style, unexpected arrangements and well-crafted original songs.
Comprised of lead vocalists, David Kempton, Beck Martin and Jesse Upah; vocal bass Tony Marx; and beatboxer Jake Black, BREATH OF SOUL has been privileged to perform for Jonathan Cain (Journey), Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney (Rascal Flatts), Guy Penrod (Gaither Vocal Band), and various other artists and celebrities. They have collaborated in the studio with writers and producers including Steve Dorff (writer / producer for such artists as Whitney Houston & Celine Dion).
As the winners of the Lady Antebellum A Cappella Contest, was chosen as the opening act for the country super-group for a televised Holiday Special at the 1,860 seat Nashville Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
Having received numerous accolades for their powerhouse performance style, stellar arrangements, sheer talent, and original percussive style, BREATH OF SOUL also is recent recipients of awards such as Audience Favorite, Best Original Arrangement, and Best Original Song at the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival in both Chicago & Washington DC. With write-ups in various high-profile websites such as Country Weekly and MSN Music, the group is gaining world-wide exposure and recognition through their unique a cappella style.
Tickets to individual performances will be sold on an “as available” basis at $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The reserved seating section at each concert will be held until five minutes prior to the performance.

The Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series is supported by the Alva Tourism and Convention Development Committee, the Oklahoma Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Charles Morton Share Trust. The last concert this year will be on Tuesday, March 10, with Perpetual Motion, an Oklahoma based modern and aerial dance company.
