Vincent currently is a student at Edmond North High School where she is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, a member of the National Honor Society and Superintendent’s Leadership Club. She holds a 4.02 GPA and is ranked in the top 5 percent out of 621 students in her class. She will attend Oklahoma City University next fall as a sophomore having completed 30 hours of college credit while in high school.
Vincent serves as a founder of 28 Days of Kindness and Random Acts of Kindness in Teens. As an avid volunteer, she has logged more than 2,000 hours supporting Children’s Miracle Network and many philanthropic events.
This spring Vincent was given the distinct honor of being named Oklahoma’s Top High School Volunteer for 2014 by The Prudential Spirit of Community. She also was awarded the highest civilian award, the Thunderbird Award, from the Oklahoma National Guard. She earned this award because of her many hours of service for the Guard.
Vincent has won many awards through pageants as well. She competed in the Miss Oklahoma Outstanding Teen program and was recognized as the Kiwanis Club of Tulsa Community Service Winner, talent award winner, spirit award winner (voted on by fellow contestants) lifestyle and fitness award and Miss Oklahoma’s Outstanding Teen 2013. At the Miss America Outstanding Teen competition, Vincent was awarded with the preliminary talent award, the preliminary evening gown/onstage question award, the Teens in Action Community Service Award and the distinguished placement of first runner-up to the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2014.
Vincent is the daughter of Barry and Stacie Vincent of Edmond. Currently serving as Miss Frontier Country, she has now transitioned to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant system and will be competing for the title of Miss Oklahoma in June.
The Miss Cinderella Talent Show is Thursday, Oct. 16, and Amanda Covalt, Miss Cinderella 2013, will emcee the contest. She also will perform her talent on Friday night before the crowning of the new Miss Cinderella. Covalt currently is a student at Oklahoma Christian University.
Tickets for the Miss Cinderella contests will be available at the door for $10 each night. Homecoming buttons will be available for purchase on Thursday at the door for $10, which will grant entry into both Miss Cinderella events. Button purchasers need to be aware that seating at events is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those purchasing buttons also will be able to gain admission to the Ranger football game ($18 at the gate) against East Central University at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, as well as to provide the people wearing them a number of discounts at Alva businesses during week of homecoming (www.nwosu.edu/button-discounts). New this year is a drawing to possibly win $500 in Alva Chamber Bucks for the person wearing a button at the football game.
