An article written by two Northwestern Oklahoma State University business faculty members will be featured in the Mustang Journals, a set of various academic journals in a business and social science disciplines.

Dr. Ralph Bourret, assistant professor of business, and Dana Roark, instructor of business, worked as writer and co-writer to present “Are Routine Retiring CEOs More Closely Monitored in their Last Year?”

Bourret researched this topic and assumed that when CEOs approach retirement age they are more closely monitored by the principle management theory – a theory that relies on the motivations of an individual within an organization.

His hypothesis concluded that if CEOs can maximize their own firm specific wealth at the expense of the shareholders, a conflict is created.

Roark attended the conference in Oklahoma City to present the material.

The table of contents will appear on the Mustang Journals website at www.MustangJournals.com. Full text and search also will be available on Ebsco host services online.
