Northwestern Foundation Release
Northwestern Oklahoma State University students contacted 1,093 donors to thank them for their generosity to the university as part of the Second Annual Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association Thank-a-thon.
Members of Northwestern’s soccer, volleyball, rodeo and baseball teams, as well as the Baptist Student Union, Northwestern Scholar Ambassadors, Northwestern Art Society, Delta Zeta and Alpha Sigma sororities, Student Oklahoma Education Association, CORE and Enid Psychology Club contacted donors by either phone call or thank-you card.
“We surpassed our goals for this year’s Thank-a-Thon thanks to the hard work the students put into helping us with this project,” said Susan Holliday, Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association relationship manager. “The fact that students took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer speaks volumes about the student body at Northwestern.”
During the week of the Thank-a-thon, students made 373 phone calls and handwrote 720 notes of thanks. There were a total of 103 student volunteers during the event.
“I volunteered for the Thank-a-thon because it gave me the opportunity to let the donors know that we truly appreciate the donations they provide,” said Cali Crissup, Helena senior and president of Alpha Sigma sorority.
