NWOSU Foundation Release
The Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association invites you to join them as they travel to Ireland for a nine-day tour of the best that Ireland has to offer.
Set for May 26 – June 3, 2015, the trip begins in Dublin City with visits to Dublin’s most popular attractions.
The following morning you will depart for Kerry to visit the Blarney Castle where you have the opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone. The Blarney Stone, or Stone of Eloquence, is believed to have the power to bestow the gift of eloquence on those who kiss it.
Other adventures include:
- The Ring of Kerry, known for the beautiful panoramic views.
- Clare, with its various wildlife including bottle-nosed dolphins that reside in the estuary.
- The Cliffs of Moher.
- Connemara, the land of lakes and rivers, bogs and mountains; it is a land of small Gaelic Villages.
- Kylemore Abbey, which still displays characteristics of the neo-gothic architecture. The Abbey is home to the Irish order of Benedictine nuns.
The full itinerary is available at www.pilgrimtours.com/groups/nwosuireland.htm. Reservations are due by February 13, 2015.
