Godspell was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The production has been performed on and off Broadway. The show is composed of a series of parables, mostly from the Gospel of Matthew, featuring modern music set to lyrics from traditional hymns.
“We have some fantastic vocalist and actors in this production,” Weast said. “Audiences will not be disappointed with this great group of talented students!
“The production is going to be amazing thanks to very dedicated technical theatre students, performers, our music director Beth Smith and our choreographer Hannah Dirks.”
