Ted Vigil |
The Seattle native began singing for audiences at an early age. Vigil began singing in church folk bands when he was 8 and continued singing all the way through high school. During his high school music career he expanded his horizons to musical productions, drums and percussion, jazz, symphony and marching band.
After graduation, he began singing and playing drums in top 40 bands and traveled all over the Northwest. At the same time, Vigil was involved with two stage productions, Godspell and the 1987-88 production of Putting on the Ritz, in which he played the starring role. It was a major Broadway-style theater performance at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. The 983-seat theater sold out two consecutive nights and raised $180,000 for Providence St. Peter hospital.
In 1990, he began playing guitar and recording and performing his original compositions.
In 2006, Vigil won the national title for Talent Quest in Laughlin, Nev., for his astonishing resemblance to the late, great, John Denver. After his win, he began to plan a John Denver Tribute show in earnest.
In 2007, he began singing his way all over the USA, and subsequently shared the stage with Keith Anderson, Jeff Bates and Kevin Sharp on the annual, “Traveling Kountry Kruz” on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
For the past two years, Vigil also has been performing with Jamie’s Rock ’n’ Roll Legends Shows, singing in casinos, clubs, street fairs, festivals and at private parties.
His gift for the music, and his polished and energetic performing style, has earned him legions of dedicated fans, who swear he is John Denver, reincarnated.
Last year Vigil was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association.
Vigil shares his passion for bringing people together with his music, with audiences of all ages. His desire for bringing all ages together for good fun and great causes, continue to be his main inspiration.
Tickets to individual performances will be sold on an “as available” basis at $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The reserved seating section at each concert will be held until five minutes prior to the performance.
