The Northwest Oklahoma Counseling Association (NOCA) is offering a continuing education (CE) seminar Monday, Dec. 2 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at High Plains Technology Center in Woodward.
Northwestern assistant professor of psychology, Dr. Karen Linstrum, is the president of the NOCA. “This is the first time we have been approved for CE for four licensures, which are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), and social work,” Linstrum said.
NOCA is a branch of the Oklahoma Counseling Association (OCA). The CE seminar is for all mental health professionals in the Northwest area of Oklahoma.
“This is a good place to network,” Linstrum said. “It is also a great way to keep up with current knowledge.”
The CE seminar is $35 or $30 if you pre-register before Nov. 15. Lunch is included. Students who choose to present a poster session can attend for free.
